DMS PDU
Transformed complex enterprise data into an intuitive Document Management System.

problem
PT Parama Data Unit dealt with complex, unstructured data that made internal file management inefficient. The lack of a clear hierarchy and search logic meant that staff spent excessive time navigating through data rather than utilizing it.
solution
I designed a centralized dashboard that transforms raw data structures into a clean, navigable interface. By introducing a custom labeling feature and optimizing the user flow, the new system streamlines workflows and significantly reduces document retrieval time for internal staff.
Structuring data for speed and scalability.
As a Software Engineering student, I approach design through logic first. For PT Parama Data Unit, the main challenge wasn't just visual; it was structural. The client needed to transform complex data structures into a user interface that didn't overwhelm the user. My goal was to build a navigable dashboard that prioritized information architecture over decoration.
To address the retrieval bottleneck, I developed a Custom Labeling Feature. Instead of relying solely on traditional folder structures, this system allows users to tag and filter documents based on context. This change directly targeted the workflow inefficiencies, aiming to significantly cut down the time staff spent searching for files.
Feasibility was a top priority. I collaborated closely with the engineering team throughout the process to ensure the Design System was accurate and implementable. This bridged the gap between the design file and the final production code, ensuring the system was not only intuitive but also buildable within the tech stack constraints.
